Six steps to open a jewelry bead shop

Today, we had a tele-meeting with partners from different countries to discuss “How to start a jewelry beads shop?”

Generally speaking, below are six steps to start a bead shop:

1.       First, we should have jewelry beads suppliers. When we have good supplier, we can have quality jewelry beads to sell, and have new design jewelry beads all the time.

2.       We should become a successful beads sales people. As jewelry beads sales people, we should know what beads we supply, and what can the beads use be for. For example, if one customer needs to make beaded figurine, then we can recommend some 8 mm, 10 mm, 12mm in round, and square shape beads to him. If a customer need to order accessory to make catholic rosary, then we can introduce rosary beads, cross, centerpiece, eye pins, chains…while someone need jewelry beads for coming Christmas, then Christmas tree, snowman, snow flower will be better.

3.       After we have jewelry beads supplier, and know the knowledge of beads, the next step is to find a shop to open. The shop should be easily for people to come, and comfortable to choose jewelry beads to buy. For example, our jewelry beads shop can be choose around big supermarket, cloths shops…

4.       Decorate the jewelry bead shop.

5.       Order jewelry beads from your supplier. At first, if you do not know what will be popular in your market, then you can ask your supplier to prepare mixed jewelry beads for you. Then when you find some items sell well, order more from your supplier.

6.       Tell more people you open a jewelry bead shop at your place. This will make you have more potential customers.
