FALSE COLLARS – A FASHION TREND IN CHINA AGAIN

False collars, also called as detachable collar, it is a shirt separate from the shirt, fastened to it by studs, belts, or clasps…

 

False collar was very popular during 1970s inChina, at that time, most of the people are very poor, further more, people required tickets when purchased something. For example, if you want to buy a clothing, you have to get enough money, and need to get the ticket for fabric, weave ticket and so on. There fore, people would not buy garments unless festivals. False collars became popular in China very soon, because it was very economic, and it looked same as a shirt inside, besides, false collars was easy to wash because it was just a small piece cloth. At that time, false collar was a fashion for gentlemen.

 

With the economic development, false collars not wore by people in past decades years. However, false collars are getting popular again since 2012 year. Now, false collar is not only for men, but also a decoration of garments for women. Many ladies wear false collars to decorative with their dress/ shirt which without collar.
